This week our Year 12 students were trained in CPR and lifesaving techniques thanks to the Evelyn’s Gift project.
Evelyn’s Gift was formed by Helen Smith to give people the chance to do something positive in memory of her daughter Evelyn who passed away suddenly in September 2013 aged just seven.
The charity arranges a series of emergency life support training sessions for teachers and parents at local schools with the help of the British Heart Foundation’s HeartStart programme.
Thanks to both charities, over 30 of our Year 12 students are now qualified in the use of CPR and defibrillators. And thanks too to Mr Walker, Head of PE at Myton for organising such a worthwhile event.
