Imagineering Club is a club run on a Friday after school for Year 8 students. The club has been running for 4 years and this year is the biggest club yet with 21 students attending!
Students make different projects throughout the year and they get to take these projects home once finished. So far this year the students have made; a copper design (for practising to use soldering irons) a moisture sensor, a fuse tester and a wind turbine/fan.
It is lovely to see the students working so independently and focused on their projects. Here’s what some of them have to say about the club:
“This club is AMAZING!” – Jack Fell
“It’s fun and you get to make cool things.” – Sam Fendley
“It’s very interesting and you get to make interesting things.” – Will Parsons
“Enjoyable and good atmosphere.” – Simon Hrusks
“There are lots of cool things and you get to take it home too, but you also get to talk with your friends.” – Pratham Kumbhare
“You get to make lots of things and it is really good.” – Hasan Ismail
“This is the only club in which we get to make stuff and you never get bored.” – Max Rowe
“It gives you a clear idea of what it would be like in the actual working world, but still in a fun environment. Would recommend.” – Jasmine Mountney
Any Year 8s interested in joining the club, please see Mrs Jones or Miss Blackburn.
