Before Christmas some of our Year 7 students wrote to the children’s author and former Children’s Laureate, Malorie Blackman, with their own ideas about what her next novel could be about. They had been inspired after reading her novel Pig Heart Boy. Their ideas for Blackman’s next book ranged from kidnap and bullying to race and ghosts.

This week they have received a reply thanking them for their letters and encouraging them to carry on writing and coming up with ideas for stories.
