Dear Parents and Carers

We have set up a new email address at school: [email protected] in order to improve two-way communication between home and school. This email address is for general comments and questions about the school and for parents to let us know about any good news stories and achievements of their children. (For specific issues about your child, please go through the normal channels of form tutor, subject teacher or Head of House.)

A key part of our improvement plan is celebration. We are in the process of changing the way we reward students for their efforts in class and around the school, and over the next half term you should start seeing the stickers and stamps in the rewards section of your child’s pocket diary. I would also like to continue using the weekly news to celebrate the many and varied successes of our students. Our students achieve many incredible things throughout their time with us and we celebrate their successes in studies, sports, arts and other areas. However, we would also like to celebrate the successes our students have outside of school in the community. In some cases students discuss these activities with their teachers but others are not as forthcoming in boasting of their achievements, no matter how wonderful they are. To this end, please do let us know when your child has a success outside of school as we would like to celebrate it with them. Please use the email address above and I very much look forward to discussing the achievements of your children with them and seeing them in the weekly news.
