We held our first ‘No Pen Day’ in school on Monday 9 October. The idea was to focus on speaking and listening in a fun and engaging way. There were lots of very different responses to the no pen challenge in school ranging from performance and debate to outdoor learning.
Head of Literacy, Julie Stevens said: “No Pen Day is an opportunity to develop the crucial skills of talk and critical thinking. Communication is a crucial workplace skill and this was a chance to think about learning differently and to develop those important skills.”
