This week our Year 12 A level art students visited Compton Verney where they had the opportunity to spend the day life drawing from a model. They produced some amazing work and had a brilliant day. Drawing the figure is one of the most difficult skills in art and these students should be proud of their achievements.
In addition, we were able to see The Lost Words: an enchanting exhibition which combines the creative talents of writer Robert Macfarlane and artist Jackie Morris to celebrate the relationship between language and the living world and nature’s power to spark the imagination.
We also visited the Quentin Blake exhibition, celebrating the work of one of the world’s most important and best-loved illustrators, and offering a unique insight into some of his most characteristic and popular creations.
