On Wednesday 27 June we welcomed into school next year’s Year 7s as part of their transition to secondary school. The children experienced a range of taster lessons and sports activities as well as getting to know their form tutors and asking questions about starting at Myton.
In the afternoon the children were joined by their parents who attended a talk by Mr Perry, met form tutors and took part in a Q&A session.
A big thank you to everyone who helped make the event a success: the staff who ran sessions, the sixth formers who provided invaluable support throughout the day, and FOMS who sold second-hand uniform and chatted to parents about the school. A special mention goes to Josh Jijo in Year 12 for his outstanding contribution to the day, as a result of which he has applied for, and been accepted onto the Senate Support Team.
