A group of students from Years 7, 9, 10 and 12 took part in an Enabling Enterprise trip to IBM in Warwick on Wednesday 21 June.
The students talked to the IBM employees about their jobs, responsibilities and the skills they needed to draw upon in the workplace. They then had a tour of some of the facilities and were given a brief to design an app to aid communication for employees at IBM. They worked in teams to develop their ideas and then presented them to a panel of judges.
One IBM employee commented: “I was impressed with how advanced their thinking was and the level of detail they included in their presentations. I think the mixed age groups helped; we saw some really good teamwork.”
Thank you to Enabling Enterprise and IBM for such a worthwhile and rewarding trip.
