A group of our Year 10 students had the opportunity to go on a tour of a building under construction at Warwick University this week.
The site manager showed the students around the site, which will have will have swimming pools, a gym and a rock climbing wall when it is completed, and explained each of the stages of the development and what each of the tradespeople did on site. He then went on to explain how young people can get into the industry through apprenticeships and college routes.
The students really enjoyed the opportunity to see the site and meet construction professionals. Thank you to Wilmott Dixon who facilitated the visit and who are exploring how they can collaborate more with Myton students interested in careers in construction.
