Last week twenty-eight Year 9 students volunteered to participate in the Day of Languages event at Coten End Primary School which was led by Miss Cores and Mrs Millington.
The students made us all very proud after very bravely delivering two assemblies on the importance of learning languages. They then participated in a number of activities with different groups of Coten End students, ranging from pebble writing to teaching some Italian numbers and some (lucky!) students had the arduous task of tasting some amazing French delicacies. Myton students supported class teachers in different languages, showing off their communication skills and their cultural awareness. The feedback from staff at Coten End was amazing, and our students really proved what outstanding linguists and ambassadors of Myton they are. The event was such a success that the newspaper WarwickshireWorld echoed the news.
We would like to thank all the Year 9 students who volunteered and especially Coten End Primary School and Mrs Allison for inviting us to take part and for being amazing hosts. We are already looking forward to next year’s Day of Languages!
