At the end of last term the whole of Year 7 had a fantastic day visiting Silverstone Circuit and Museum.
Students got to handle racing gear and car parts, hear about some of the important design and safety features in F1 cars, see an array of racing memorabilia and even walk a historic part of the famous track.
These experiences at Silverstone link to students’ upcoming Science topic of ‘Travel and Transport’. Seeing science in the real world gives students the opportunity to consider what their future careers might look like.
Some students were heard saying “this is the best Year 7 trip ever!”
