In the Creative Arts department at Myton we aim to deliver a curriculum that challenges and inspires our students to be aspirational in their achievements both in the classroom and beyond it.
In Music we aim to foster a love of learning through engaging classroom lessons which mix theory with practical, and a range of extracurricular activities including clubs, concert trips, showcases and performances. We also provide the opportunity for students to further develop solo instrumental skills with our team of visiting teachers if desired.
Our curriculum at KS3 is based on the three strands of listening and appraising, performing and composing, with the aim of developing key skills in these areas to prepare students for further study at GCSE and A-Level and lead our students to become well rounded musicians, whether as performers, composers or producers.
