End of term and September arrangements
A reminder that students finish at 12.30pm on Friday 19 July for the summer break. Years 7 and 12 return to school on Wednesday 4 September and all year groups on Thursday 5 September.
Art & Photography departments gain OCR Ambassador Centre status
We are pleased to announce that our Art and Photography departments have been awarded Ambassador Centre status for OCR Art and Design qualifications. From September they will provide support and advice to a group of Art departments in schools from the wider Warwickshire/East Midlands area, host face to face events at Myton to share good practice in Art education and be more directly involved in assisting OCR to improve and develop its Art and Design qualifications.
Changes to Home to School Transport Applications
From September 2025, pupils in Warwickshire entering Reception or Year 7 who are eligible for home to school transport will automatically be contacted by the Home to School Transport Team to confirm their eligibility and the type of transport to be provided for the new school year. Families will not need to apply for home to school transport during key stage transitions.
Young Poet Laureate competition
Warwickshire Libraries’ competition to become Young Poet Laureate 2024/25 is now open. The competition is open to anyone aged between 13 and 17 who lives and is educated in Warwickshire and who would like to perform their own poetry to an audience. Books to be returned to the LRC
Please could all books on loan from the LRC be returned by the 19 July. Unfortunately, the LRC will not be able to issue any books during the last week of term as they will be stocktaking ahead of their move to the modular building.
Lost property
We have a large amount of lost property (under the stairs near Reception), especially after the recent Newquay and Bushcraft trips. If your child is missing any uniform or other items, please ask them to check in lost property.
16-19 Bursary and Financial Support
Our 2024/25 Bursary and Financial Support scheme will be live from 5 July. Please check our website nearer the date for more information and details of how to apply.
Non-blazer days
It is due to be hot next week. Students will be advised on a daily basis if it is to be a non-blazer day.
