Young High Sheriff Aaron attended a Citizenship ceremony this month at the Council Chamber of the Town Hall Warwick.
Events within RE
Before half term, members of the REflections Club and Year 10 Core RE students reflected on why it is important to remember the Holocaust and other genocides that have happened since. These reflections now form a display in the RE corridor.
JLR speak to Year 13 during National Apprenticeship Week
As part of Year 13’s Speaker Week programme we were lucky enough to host Felix, a JLR apprentice and Sandra, a member of the JLR Education Programme during National Apprenticeship Week. They gave lots of tips on how to ace an interview and talked Year 13 through the process of applying for a job with an international company. Passion, enthusiasm and honesty were key messages.

Marketing Volunteer – Role Description
Parenting Project
We provide parents, young people and family’s vital mental health support at a time when it is most needed. We have developed a Family Wellbeing Pathway, through which we deliver 1-1 counselling, Family Support, Group Work and Parent Mentoring.
Our strategy is to increase awareness of the charity; ensuring professionals and families are aware of our services and referral routes and also to increase income to the charity through social media campaigns, corporate funding and events.
Overview of the role:
The role would suit a person looking to gain experience in marketing in the not-for profit sector, and/or someone seeking work experience before returning to work after a career break.
The role would provide opportunities to get involved in varied and interesting aspects of marketing and promotion of the charity, including campaigns, website administration, stakeholder relation management, event planning and social media management working with and reporting into the Parenting Project Development Manager.
Time Commitment:
Approximately one day per week, hybrid, volunteering from home or in our Office base in Kenilworth
Agreed volunteer expenses paid.
Requirements:
• Marketing experience, both online and offline
• Good IT skills
• A confident communicator
• Familiarity with social media platforms
• Experience working within the voluntary sector

Years 12 and 13 Trip to Geneva
During their visit to Geneva our students visited the following places:
- CERN particle physics research centre
- Swiss Plasma Centre (and its fusion reactor)
- Geneva Observatory
- Museum of Science History
- Le Salève mountain via cable car
- Geneva City Centre
The students were great as always – showed a real interest and asked lots of questions about the science but also enjoyed the mountain scenery, Swiss architecture, clear lake, etc.
