Congratulations to Reuben in Year 8 who recently hiked 1,085 metres to the top of Mount Snowdon to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. Over £1300 has been raised so far, with the total still rising! Despite being by far the youngest member of the group, Reuben often encouraged those struggling along the way and was also the group photographer!
Well done Reuben, this is a fantastic achievement! We hear you may have your sights set on climbing Ben Nevis next so we’ll watch this space!
Children and young people are invited to express their creativity and empathy through artwork as part of an art competition to honour and celebrate Refugee Week 2024. The theme for this year’s Refugee Week is ‘Our Home’, and the competition asks children and young people to create a piece of artwork that reflects where they live.

Wednesday marked a momentous day for our Year 13 students. You would have been forgiven for thinking we were in a different school, as students could dress in their Year 7 to 11 uniform. So, alongside Myton students were those from Henley, Aylesford, Trinity, Kings High and beyond. We even had two representatives from the Jurassic era join us!
Year 9 students used their detective and questioning skills this week to try to work out the roles of over 20 professionals who had volunteered to be interrogated!
We had a fantastic range of companies and professions represented, including the Merchant Navy, NHS, DWP, Taylor Wimpey, Alster Kelly solicitors, Eurocar Parts, SAE Institute and DCA Design.
Our ‘pie a teacher’ event last week raised £463.90 for the Oddballs Foundation (a charity raising awareness of testicular cancer). Thank you again to our Sixth Form Student Leadership team who organised and led the event, the students who took part and the teachers who volunteered!
