Dear Parents and Carers
As we approach the end of term we also approach the end of Black History Month, which has seen us learning about and celebrating aspects of Black History, both in and outside of lessons. We’ve had quizzes and competitions, lunchtime Afro-Caribbean hair workshops, after school African cooking classes, and we have Pan African dishes served in the canteen every day next week. Looking forward to those! Our celebrations culminate on Tuesday next week with our first Be Real event, a free event open to all students and their families.
Our students have been working really hard to organise the event, which will include performances, key note speakers and workshops including creative writing, African music, Pan African cooking and African dance. There’ll be Pan African cuisine, pancakes and lots of other treats on offer. We hope to see you there!
Best wishes
Andy Perry
