From September 2025, pupils in Warwickshire entering Reception or Year 7 who are eligible for home to school transport will automatically be contacted by the Home to School Transport Team to confirm their eligibility and the type of transport to be provided for the new school year. Families will not need to apply for home to school transport during key stage transitions.
The changes for the new system will come into effect from March 2025 and families will need to use the online application until this time.
The changes will not affect families of children and young people with Education, Health and Care plans or those who have a change of circumstance outside of key stage transfer. The process will remain as it is and families are required to complete an online application form.
Eligible pupils will be contacted by the Home to School Transport Team by 31 May 2025 to confirm their eligibility. Further information will be sent out to confirm the type of transport being provided by the start of the new school year in September 2025.
If families have not been contacted by the Home to School Transport Team by the 31 May 2025 to confirm their eligibility, and they believe their child is eligible, they should complete the online application form available on the Home to School Transport webpage.
