Congratulations to former Myton student, Karenjeet Bains who recently competed at the Commonwealth Powerlifting Games in Vancouver, Canada. The 19 year old was placed fifth overall against competitors who were four years older than her. She set 4 personal bests and officially became a Double British Record Breaker.

This was Karenjeet’s first ever international competition and she has been recognised as having huge potential to progress significantly within the sport which she only took up 18 months ago.

She is understandably delighted with her performance, claiming, “I just need a bit more training but next international the Gold is mine!”
