Everyone Active are offering a free space to 20 young people on their National Pool Lifeguard Qualification course at either St Nicholas Park or Newbold Comyn Leisure Centre. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, and to be eligible for the programme, candidates must:
– Be 16 years of age
– Swim 50m in less than 1 minute
– Swim 100m continuously on their front then 100m on their back
– Tread water in deep water for more than 30 seconds
– Surface dive to the deepest part of the pool
– Climb out of the pool unaided
– Live or go to school within the Warwick District
– Live in a household that receives income-related benefits (such as Universal Credit)
