Last Wednesday we were pleased to welcome our governors into school for the day.

Chair of Governors, Diane Burley said: “During the day, we discussed the strategic financial issues affecting school, had an update on safeguarding and child protection issues, discovered how teachers plan their lessons and dropped into a number of classrooms to see students at work. Finally, we enjoyed a discussion with a panel of students of all ages where we explored topics such as vertical tutoring, literacy targets, barriers to learning and ways in which the governors could reach students. It was a really enjoyable day and we would like to thank staff and students for facilitating our visit.”
