A meeting has been arranged by the Friends of St. Nicholas Park with three District Ward Councillors next month to discuss the safeguarding of users of St Nicholas Park. Of particular interest is the area used by school children on their route to school, especially in light of the recent incidents at the park involving young people. Councillors are looking at the possibility of further CCTV coverage and are seeking local support.
Attending with Councillors will be the Police Safety Neighbourhood Team and a representative from the Rural Crime Team. They will be interested to hear parents’ and other residents’ concerns and to answer questions.
The meeting will be held on Saturday 27 January in the Pickard Street Community Centre (next to Charter Bridge) at 2pm. Everyone is welcome.
