On Monday 27 March two of our Year 7 students, Nikit Sajiv and Simran Sandhar, competed in the regional finals of the annual Foreign Language Spelling Bee competition at Tudor Grange Academy in Solihull.
The Spelling Bee is a competition for students in Year 7 where contestants have to translate the words from English and spell them in the target language.
Out of 6,332 students in the West Midlands, 53 made it through to the regional finals to compete with others from local schools in order to find the top 4 students for each language (French, German, Spanish). Both Nikit and Simran were amazing representatives of Myton and did incredibly well to get through to this stage. Simran actually managed to get in the top 4 students for French, which means she is through to the national finals in June. Well done to both of them!
