On 18 March a group of Myton students visited Gowling WLG, an international law firm based in Birmingham, to experience what is involved in working for a law firm and find out more about different careers in law.
The students met the employees and had a tour of the offices to see who helps keep a law firm running smoothly. They then had the opportunity to take on the roles of paralegals, solicitors and finally barristers as they put together their case for either prosecution or defence, in a mock courtroom.
Mrs Foster, Myton’s Careers & Enterprise Coordinator said, “This visit was great for raising aspirations and broadening the students’ awareness of all the different jobs within the legal sector.”
Thanks to Gowling WLG for hosting us and to Enabling Enterprise for arranging the trip.
