This week a group of Year 10 students went to Warwick University to undertake a ‘Pathways to Law’ programme designed to explain the various routes into Law as a profession.
The day consisted of current law undergraduates sharing their experiences, a workshop with some practising solicitors from corporate and medical malpractice firms, a taster Law class, a mock trial where our students enacted a real life court case, acting as jurors and witnesses, and to finish off they had a guided tour of the campus.
Our students found the day very useful and commented:
“It helped to know that you don’t have to do a Law degree to go into Law and you can do a conversion degree course instead.”
“The day helped me with my decision about whether I want to go into Law.”
“Very informative; not only as an insight into Law, but student life at university too.”
