On Thursday 28 January, five members of Myton’s Year 12 Politics group (Jayden H, Emily A, Poppy B, Alfie B and Alex E) had an hour-long FaceTime chat with Peter Hitchens, the renowned journalist and controversial author.

Jayden sent Hitchens an unsolicited invitation and was surprised when he accepted. During their conversation, they discussed drug policy, crime and punishment as well as other current issues. Afterwards, Jayden received an email from Hitchens stating how much he had enjoyed the hour spent with the students and what a pleasure it had been. Congratulations to all involved.
