Myton musicians took part in the annual Warwick Rotary Club Summer Schools’ Concert at St Mary’s Church in Warwick this week.
There were a range of vocal and instrumental performances from local primary and secondary schools with Myton rounding the concert off with the debut appearance of the school band ‘The Mytones’, featuring Year 10 performers Anastasiya, Caterina, Edith, Erion and Harvey. They gave a lively rendition of The Specials’ ska hit ‘Gangsters’ before accompanying the Year 7 vocal group to perform ‘Use Somebody’ in front of a full house.
Money raised from ticket sales will be given back to local schools to support and encourage music making.
