Our Design and Technology Department in school has recently taken delivery of a brand new 3-D printer, funded by parents’ donations to the School Fund, and it is already proving to be a useful piece of kit.
This week our Year 10 Resistant Materials students were developing 3-D designs for fidget spinners that they will be able to create by sending them to the printer.
And one of our A level Product Design students has used 3-D printing to demonstrate how to replicate a component of a metal fishing stool.
Thank you to all those parents who make regular donations to the School Fund. It helps us provide equipment like this that is not covered by our school budget and without your help, we would not be able do these additional things.
If you’d like to make a donation, you can find out more on our website.
