A group of our Year 7 and 8 students have been taking part in the Warwickshire Secondary Book Awards this term. It involves the students reading 6 books and voting for their favourite. This year, the final ceremony was held at Avon Valley School in Rugby, where they met two of the shortlisted authors, Matt Dickinson and Geraldine McCaughrean, and heard them talk about writing and how they researched their books. The winning book was Lie, Kill, Walk Away by Matt Dickinson. The students who attended the ceremony all had a fantastic time and some came away with autographs.
