Four Year 8 students were lucky enough to be invited to join BBC Birmingham at The Mailbox last week in celebration of International Girls in ICT Day. They took part in practical workshops exploring radio and TV production, software development and technology in media before meeting with inspirational and leading women working in STEM roles at the BBC.
One of the students, Lucy said, “My favourite part of the day was when we were in the filming studios and finding out how they broadcast BBC programs.”
It sounds like it was a great trip!
