Thank you to everyone who attended our Unity Celebration event last week, and to those who bought a raffle ticket and food from our pop-up tuck shop. Our thanks to the local Gurdwara who provided samosas and to Nike for donating a gift voucher for our raffle.
Our Year 12 Ambassadors of Culture work closely with the RE department to put on these events, bringing people together to recognise cultural and religious celebrations. A special mention to Miss Razzaq for her hard work organising the raffle and buying the food and drink.
The event raised an amazing £815. We are donating the £100 made from the sale of the samosas back to the Gurdwara and the remaining £715 will be donated to Humanitarian Action.
We look forward to our next event in July!
