Starting on Monday 19 November we will be holding a Progression Week for Year 11 students to help them with career choices and pathways into the next stage of their education. It involves the whole of Year 11 and takes place in school. Year 11 and 12 tutor groups will merge to allow Year 11 students to hear first-hand what life is like in the Sixth Form.

Our Sixth Form Open Evening is on Thursday 22 November, giving an opportunity for parents and students to meet subject specialists and hear what is on offer at Myton Sixth Form. There will be a presentation at 6pm and again at 7pm.

The week will then culminate with an assembly on Friday 23 November and the popular ‘dress to impress’ day, where Year 11 can dress like a Sixth Former (see the dress code here) and feel what it is like to be the role models of the school. We hope this week will be useful in preparing Year 11 for the next steps in their education and starting to think about life beyond GCSEs, whether that is at Myton Sixth Form or elsewhere
