Head Teacher Message
Dear Parents and Carers
On Wednesday, a group of our students took part in the Stowe Valley Multi-Academy Trust Arts Festival at the Belgrade Theatre in Coventry. As we look to join this MAT, opportunities for students from across all the schools in the MAT to work together become more frequent. I was delighted to see our students perform among the already established schools, putting on a stunning display consisting of two amazing solo songs and a small group of actors, singers and dancers. Myton opened the show and really pitched it brilliantly with lots of energy.

Thank you to the local businesses who supported us in developing our students’ character this week by attending our Year 10 business brunch event. Students had the opportunity to learn what networking is and how to do it! This was a fantastic opportunity for the students taking part.

Year 9 students visited St Margaret’s Primary School and Coten End Primary School last week to lead language workshops for their Year 6 students. Our students planned and delivered different activities in Spanish for the younger children to complete in small groups. The workshops were a big success and were a great way to promote languages in primary school.

A reminder that next week is the final week of Summer Art Weeks 2024, an event celebrating the variety and quality of visual art available locally. Over 400 artists and makers are taking part at 143 venues across Warwickshire and Coventry, including former student, graphic designer Katie Jones who will be exhibiting her work.

Sports News
Congratulations to Josh in Year 9 who has been selected to play for Hockey Mentors, a high performance programme for state school pupils from all over the country. Competition to be selected is very high and this is a brilliant accomplishment for Josh, who will benefit from England-level coaching. Josh has made an impressive start and was awarded male player of the camp at their most recent weekend camp. Well done Josh!
Well done to our athletes who competed in last week’s District Athletics competition, many of whom finished in the top three places. Our Year 8 boys were crowned District Champions and our Year 8 girls’ team came third.
