Head Teacher Message
Dear Parents and Carers
Yesterday we said an official goodbye to our Year 11 students (although they will be returning for their remaining exams). This year group had just started in Year 7 when the first round of Covid struck, and so had an unusual (to say the least) start to their secondary school experience. They’ve also been here through some of our other challenges over the years (cyber-attack and RAAC to mention a couple). They have navigated their school years with maturity and resilience, skills which I’m sure will serve them well in the future. I know Mrs Bird is extremely proud of them all (as we all are), and they will be missed. We wish them the best of luck with the rest of their exams and look forward to seeing them on their results day in August.
Best wishes
Andy Perry

Announcements
We are currently holding a parent governor election. Parents/carers should have received a survey this week via Survey Monkey for them to vote for their preferred candidate. Paper ballots are also available for parents/carers from Reception if they would rather vote using a paper ballot. If you have not received an email from Survey Monkey (after checking it is not in your junk folder), please let us know. The closing date for votes is noon on Friday 14 June.
The HAF programme provides young people with the opportunity to access activities and healthy meals over the main holidays at Christmas, Easter and Summer. More information on the programme can be found in this letter from Warwickshire County Council. Activity listings for the Summer HAF programme will be available here from Wednesday 19 June.
Please could students ensure that on their approach to the school gates they are in full uniform and look smart (blazers are on, shirts are tucked in etc). This will mean that staff on the gates can welcome students into school without the need to instruct them on their uniform.
