Head Teacher Message
Dear Parents and Carers
Well today’s lunchtime was a messy one. Our students have been queuing up (literally) for the chance to pie their teacher – all in the name of charity of course.
The event was organised by our Sixth Form Student Leaders to raise money for the Oddballs Foundation (a charity raising awareness of testicular cancer), who also came to support the event.
Thank you to the Sixth Formers who planned and led the event so brilliantly, to all those students who took part, to the Oddballs Foundation….and a massive thanks to the teachers who volunteered to be pied. Such good sports.

This week Mr Hobbs and Mrs Stephenson took Environmental Science students to St Nicholas Park for a night-time bat walk. Hosted by the very informative and helpful Warwick Bat Group they discovered 5 species of bats beside the river, one of which had not been recorded there before! Students learnt how to use the bat detectors and took part in a survey of these vulnerable and amazing creatures. A big thank you to Warwick Bat Group for their help in arranging this event!
Thank you to Dal who dropped off a large donation of paint from Brewers Decorator Centres last week. The paint has gone to our Drama department to paint set designs!
Thank you to Colin, Millie and Emma from Safeline who were guest speakers at Year 13’s assembly last week. As many of our Year 13 students prepare to leave home it was a timely reminder of the dangers of sexual assault, how they can best protect themselves and others and which support agencies to turn to should they need them. Raising awareness of this issue is vital and it really highlighted how we all can play a role in keeping everyone safe.
