If you're applying for the Discretionary Bursary please tick the appropriate box and note the documents you need to supply. When assessing household income we will include the income of all adults aged over 18 living in the household. If the household receives Universal Credit we will add together the average take home pay and average amount of Universal Credit (after all deductions). If as part of your benefits your rent is paid directly to your landlord, we will include this as part of your household income. Wage slips - we use the take-home pay figure (and deductions that are not statutory will be included as income). Tax Credits - we use the total income stated under the heading income, often on page 2 of the award notice.
Please upload your supporting documents. (The supporting documents will be stored securely and will only be used for the purpose of assessing eligibility for the Bursary Fund. Documents will be retained for six years in line with ESFA guidance.)

I am not in receipt of Universal Credit or Tax Credits.
Please tick all the costs you would like to claim help with. Where possible, Myton School will make payments ‘in kind’– in other words - we will provide a bus pass, buy equipment, clothing or books on your behalf or arrange payment for educational visits. We may ask you to return books and equipment at the end of your study programme so that they can be used again. We will need to agree any purchases in advance. You will need to complete a claim form and attach your receipts as proof or purchase. Payments will be made by BACS transfer.
By submitting this form, I and my parents declare that all information I have provided in support of this application for the Bursary is correct and complete to the best of my knowledge. I understand that if false or incomplete information is submitted which results in an overpayment, all future payments will be stopped and Myton School will seek repayment of payments made. The matter may also be referred to the Education and Skills Funding Agency and/or the police, with the possibility of facing prosecution. I undertake to notify Myton School in writing of any changes to the information provided, which may affect my eligibility for the Bursary.

All payments/funding will be subject to the following:

  • At least 95% attendance, no unauthorised absence and minimal lateness
  • Making at least satisfactory progress and completing course requirements
  • Adherence to the Myton School Code of Conduct

The bursary may be withdrawn if any of the above is not satisfactory.
